
What pressure does a tank put on an object that it rolls over? How thick is missle proof glass?
How much pressure does a tank put on an object when it rolls over it (any tank will work) and how thick is missile proof glass?
I picked the M1 Abrams Main Battle tank.
There are three models, I chose the M1 / IPM1
According to the Specifications link below, the tank weighs 60 tons.
That is 60 X 2000 = 120,000 pounds.
From the specifications page the tank generates a Ground Pressure of 13.1 PSI
That is 13.1 pounds per square inch.
If a human body or something that had a surface area of 1 square foot.
I square foot is 12X12 = 144 square inches.
Taking the ground pressure of 13.1 PSI X 144 square inches = 1,886.4 pounds
Ouch, that would hurt.
As far as missile proof glass, I know of no such thing.
A missile would destroy the building the glass was in.

The site in the link below offers four types and thickness.
GLASS LEVEL I is 1.185â
GLASS LEVEL II is 1.40â
GLASS LEVEL III is 1.59â
