1981 Camaro Z28 Carburetor to Fuel Injection?

I know of kits that allow you to do this. Although it is very expensive! Is it worth the money to have this done? My 350 engine is highly modified and I want to improve reliability and gas mileage. Good or bad idea? Links to conversion kits are appreciated, thanks!

Fuel injection is very good for better throttle responce and better fuel mileage. Fuel injection doesn't flood during hard turns or braking. Normal TPI is only a 2bbl Throttle body but Edelbrock makes a convertion kit that comes with a 4bbl Throttle body.
