How can I shave off some time from my 100m sprint?
I am a midget girl (eighth grade) competing in the 100m. I have only one week to get faster... we had our local meet today, and divisonals are one week from now. I ran 15.20 today, not quite at 100%, so at 100%, I'd say i'd be around 15.00. Is there any way for me to shave off some time in one week? If so, please explain! Thanks!
midget? like literally?
im 4'11 and in 9th grade...what gets me going is my start, make sure you practice your starts get to know how the ref times the start before its your race.
the girl with the best start is the person who usually wins. (if they can run)
make sure when you start, your butt is up, not too high though, but your leaning over just enough. when the gun sounds..stay low to the ground as long as you can. because only momentum can carry you after you start sprinting. so if you stay low to the ground longer, thats actually how it determines how fast you will start sprinting..
sorry if this confuses you! my coach told me this and its hard to explain!
