Thermal Heat

what are the differences among heat, thermal energy, and temperature?
Rave is a little off. Thermal energy is the vibrational energy of the atoms or molecules. Heat is what is added to or lost by the atoms or molecules which increases or decreases the thermal energy. Temperature is a measure of the amount of thermal energy. What is the temperature of boiling water? Is there heat being added to the boiling water? If so, why is the temperature staying the same? The answer is because heat and temperature are different things. This is pretty basic stuff, read up on solids liquids and gases and the thermal conditions involved in phase changes. good luck
